Purpose.
In part three of the CUE comparative rhetorical analysis assignment, you will present one aspect of your paper to the class. The topic of your presentation is fairly broad (e.g. a specific canon, appeal, section, quoted excerpt, interview data/experience, or a combination of these).
In this assignment, you will need to use the assertion-evidence approach when you present.
This assignment involves speaking for five minutes, and drawing upon no more than three slides (excluding your introductory slide).
Invention.
· Who is my audience? What do they want/need to know?
· What is my purpose? How can I translate it into a story/message?
· Does my story have an arc (beginning, middle, end)?
· How do I make my story important to others?
· What types of visuals will help me tell my story? How will my audience respond to these images?
