CASE STUDY:
The local government wants to build a new underground tunnel called the B5 Expressway. The Department of Transport Executive Director is Leo Liberman. The engineer in charge of the project is Diana Lopez, who is managing several other major tunnel projects around the city.
The B5 Expressway needs to be 15 kilometres long and six (6) lanes wide and must be able to accommodate large b-double trucks, as well as motorists. If executed correctly, this project will reduce commuting time in the city by up to 15 mins and dramatically reduce congestion on a major arterial road.
The project team of John, Samuel, Matias and Nic will need to provide design activities (such as structural, mechanical, safety and security, electrical systems and roadways), as well as construct the tunnel, ensuring it meets requirements. Sofia Agua is in charge of public relations and communications for the project and Camila Araya is Project Administrator.
You have been assigned Project Manager for the B5 Expressway.
