Assessment - Group and individual write-ups on social media analytics and consumer behaviour
Group write-up (500 words)
You will be given a case study at the beginning of Week 12 class and, in groups of 4-5 people, you will have 90 minutes to submit a write-up recommending how the organisation should use social media analytics to understand consumer behaviour
Individual write-up (500 words)
After the group write-up has been submitted, you will be given a second case study and have 60 minutes to submit an individual write-up recommending how the organisation should use social media analytics to understand consumer behaviour
For both the group and individual write-ups, this is the recommended structure:
Introduction
Brief description of the most important business decision that the organisation in the case study has to make, and why you believe that this business decision specifically is the most important one
The main recommendation you are making to the organisation as to what type of social media analytics techniques to use first to start addressing the business problem being faced in the case study
Recommendations
Justify why you feel the main recommendation you are making to the organisation will be the most useful in helping the organisation start addressing the business problem being faced in the case study
Provide specific details of how the organisation can use social media analytics to start understanding the business problem
Discuss how these social media analytics will help the organisation understand a pertinent area of consumer behaviour better that will assist in addressing the business problem
Ethical Considerations
Outline possible ethical issues associated with the recommendations you are making.
