Question - A black woman of 1.31 years old who had an illness in her forehead probably carried it to her nose and the rest of her face. This became more edematous, pouring what seemed to be pustular material from the entire face. and foot pruritus

She began treatment with oral antibiotics. In light of her health being worse, she was now receiving IV antibiotics. In light of the lack of understanding regarding the culprit, ciplox 750 mg was administered orally in addition to the administration of iv 900 mg of cleocin every eight hours.

She may have allergies because, at first, she did not respond to duricef. In order to avoid allergic reactions, one should test these medications. Her allergy to such drugs can occasionally be the cause of the exacerbation of her symptoms.

The streptococcus bacteria are the cause of the impetigo.

Red sores that break out fast, ooze for a few days, and eventually develop a crust of yellowish brown color are impetigo symptoms. The sores typically appear near the nose and mouth, but they can travel to other parts of the body with the help of fingers, clothes, and towels.

Soreness and itching are often not so bad.

The greatest therapies for treating impetigo are antibiotics. Here, the doctor recommended taking ciprofloxacin 750 mg every 12 hours orally and injecting 900 mg of cleocin every 8 hours to cure the streptococcus bacterium.

Due to uncertainty regarding the cause, the doctor recommended mupirocin ointment on the anterior nares in addition to cleocin and ciprofloxacin to eliminate any potential staph carriage. We cannot assume that a patient's failure to react to intravenous antibiotics is caused by streptococcus. So he added medications that were resistant to both the staph and streptococcus bacteria.
