Question: Susan is given an opportunity to earn more money via promotion to a foreign media consultant if she transfers to an overseas office of a well-known ompany in the US. She immediately accepts. A few months into working at the company, she immediately identifies a critical issue that needs addressing, but it contradicts the CEO's approach. At her old job she would have taken this up via an appointment and dicussion with her team and other key members of production before presenting their changes to the CEO. However, the CEO of the company she now works under holds significant authority, and employees are expected to follow directions without questioning, which her coworkers seem to have no problem with. With no one left to speak up alongside her, her attempts to reach a solution with her boss has been largely ignored. What type of cultural dimension is being displayed in the company?
