Question - What two ratios measure factors that affect profitability?

1) Gross Profit Margin (GPM) - The gross profit margin is calculated by subtracting the cost of goods sold by the revenue and then dividing by the revenue. The ratio of profitability assesses the efficiency of the production process for a product sold by the company or for more than one product.

2) Net Profit Margin (NPM) - The net profit margin is the percentage of revenue that is left after all expenses have been deducted from sales. The measurement reveals the amount of profit that a business can extract from its total sales.
