What tools-accessories are digital must-haves

Different generations grow up with different technologies. What I encountered as a kid was probably very different than what you had in your youth. But we are a very adaptable species, and it takes us very little time to turn novelty tech into daily requirements.

This week, I'd like you to ponder two different lists...

Name five things you could still do without digital technology. For example, I can heat food in the microwave (which depends on digital tech) but it's not the only option. I can also heat up food in the oven or on the stove. It'll take longer, but the old fashioned oven/stove will get the job done just fine As you go about your day, find five things that you currently do with digital technology, but could still be done without it.
Name five things you can't imagine doing without digital technology. This one might be a little harder! One example might be directions. Sure, we could use a Thomas Guide or a set of AAA maps (do they still have those?) to plot the shortest route between two points, but it is so much easier to use my phone's GPS/Maps program! I'm old enough to have done both, and I definitely prefer GPS to maps!!!

As you go through your day, pay attention to your regular routine, daily habits and accomplishments. Ponder everything you do that involves tools, accessories, appliances and technology - consider your hygiene routine, cooking habits, travels and commutes, communications, etc. What tools/accessories are digital must-haves? What things could you do just as well without the tech assist?
