Student makes an honest effort to fully answer all questions; student follows the required structure of the essay; student's essay is two to three FULL pages in length; student does not recap the plot or use any information that comes from outside the play. Compile your thoughts, impressions, reflections, answers, questions, etc. into an essay. Remember: for full credit you have to fit the right format:

1. How did both of these artists first get involved in the field of Scenic (or Set) Design? Were they always in love with theater, or did they start in one field and find their way into another?

2. What do they say about how they START their process? What do they have in common and in what ways are they different?

3. How do they discuss working with the physical materials that go into designing and creating a Set or a Scenic plan?

4. What other artists in the theater do they mention working with? Remember that theater is Collaborative, it cannot be done by one person alone, so who do these artists discuss working with, and how?

5. What Styles or Genres of theater do they mention working in? What do they like and what do they dislike?

6. What theater companies do they mention working with? How does their approach change from one company to another?

7. Can you find one example of them encountering a problem and then solving it?

8. What do YOU think or feel about all of this? What have you learned?
