An 8 year old Child with Cystic Fibrosis is admitted from the clinic for upper respiratory symptoms, decreased saturations (85%), and increased work of breathing (mild retractions). A sibling at home had the flu three days ago. Mother of the patient is at the bedside. School has already started so the patient is a little upset that she will be missing the first week of school with her friends. She comes from a clinic with an un-accessed port.
