Quality Management Assistance
I. Problem Definition: (I will complete)
Ellsworth Ice Cream was a thriving ice cream manufacturing facility located in Saratoga Springs, New York. The company was started by Gerald Ellsworth back in 1961 and ended shortly after his death in 2006. As a warehouse manager, it was a job responsibility to hire, train, and retain qualified workers for various positions throughout the warehouse and freezer departments. The quality problem was the hiring and retention of qualified candidates.
II. Measurement & tools. This would be a fishbone diagram and other quality measurement tools suitable for use with the quality problem.
This section should describe the measurements and tools used to determine what the problem was and how you have quantified it. Data should be appropriate to the type of problem. Quality tools must be appropriately selected.
III. Analysis of Data. From Section II.
In this section you should come to the conclusion of what the root cause of the problem, state the root cause and state why you arrived at that conclusion. ROOT CAUSE WOULD BE INADEQUATE STARTING/RETAINING PAY AND UNDESIRABLE WORKING CONDITIONS (FREEZER).
IV. Implementation.
Determine a course of action. You will need to describe your plan for implementation.
V. Sustainability
Explain how you would ensure your solution is assimilated into the organizational culture as well as the organization processes and procedures. Describe what specifically you recommend to sustain your solution.
