Problem

There is so much in Chapter 16 that was shocking and interesting to me. After reading this chapter, it gave me so much insight on the questions I've been asking on why things are done this way. One of the things that was interesting to me was what I read under Managed Care Networks. When it talks about the implication of managed care and how it has been taken the health of patients away from physicians and their care in the hands of other personnel in these corporate headquarters. When this is done, physicians that are in the managed care networks will no longer have the freedom to do what they know and believe is the best medicine for their patients. Managed care networks maximize the number of insured and healthy patients and restricting those who are sick. I've never heard the word medlining until I came across the term while reading.
