This week, we will be learning more about accrediting bodies. For this discussion assignment, you will act as a LTC administrator getting your staff ready for a Joint Commissions visit. Your initial post will be a memo (you may use Word to create your memo) you will be sending to staff to let them know: what the Joint Commission is, what the accreditation process will look like, why accreditation is important for your facility, and what the staff should do to prepare for the visit.
