Question: Personal health records (PHRs) are very beneficial for patients in my opinion. As humans, we try to remember everything but sometimes in life it is just not possible, so it can be very difficult to remember what your doctor might have said during your visit. PHRs allow patients to go back and look what the doctor recommended or suggested, or even see what new medication the provider put you on and what it is for. It also helps for patients to have there records and information incase they need it for things like school or work for shot records or Physicals that might have been done. As far as healthcare organizational benefits related to revenue cycle management, this is a way to simplify billing, collection cycles through registering, scheduling and even processing the patient payment. It is much easier to make communication with the accounting systems and the EHR in the presence of the revenue cycle management.
