Lab completion checklist:

1) Watch the Intro to the Microscope video

2) On the next page, label the parts of the microscope. If you are unable to type in the boxes, then simply make a numbered list and write the names of each part.

3) Use the "Virtual Microscope" application to take screen shots of cells

4) Watch the videos of plant cells and cheek cells

Virtual Microscope

Open the program and click on the Explore Tab. In the slide box, you will need to find particular slides; get them in focus and take a screenshot of the image in the microscope. Insert screenshots for credit.

Plant Cells: Zoom using the level of magnification that allows you to see chloroplasts.

Animal Cells: Choose the spider or spider leg if spiders creep you out. Zoom until the image is clear.

Bacteria: Choose any slide and zoom with 100X.

Human: Choose the slide that interests you most.
