The objective of this report is to research the role of a Business Analyst (BA) and to comprehend the competencies required to undertake a strategic review of an organisation in the health sector, during the current COVID situation.

The International Institute of Business Analysis, (2006, p9) defines a business analyst (BA) as:

"A business analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals."

In particular, you are to take into consideration the likely impact of reduced face to face interactions with the client and other stakeholders, whilst completing a strategic review.
