Asimov's story "Reason" is a great place for us to start our discussion of science fiction. For this discussion board, I'd like you to respond to two questions. ( "Reason" by Isaac Asimov )

First--what stood out to you about the setting of the story? This can be anything that you found notable--perhaps something related to the location or the time, or even the atmosphere of the story. Be sure to include direct references to the story--with page numbers--to support your discussion. This will probably take you five sentences.

Second--Since this is a unit on AI and Post-humans, I'd like to know your thoughts on the robot, Cutie. Keep in mind how futuristic this was when the story came out in 1941--nearly 30 years before the lunar missions! Is there anything about Cutie that still seems "hi-tech"? or was their something about Cutie that hasn't aged well because of current advancements in robotics? This is a pretty general response--but you still need to provide specific examples from the text so that we know what you are discussing and can turn to the passages for ourselves.
