Problem: Imagine that you are a Climate Camp activist trying to recruit new constituents to Climate Camp's cause using Frame Alignment. Your goal is to get constituents to "buy" the Climate Camp claim about global warming as a social problem. Unfortunately for you most people who are concerned about global warming don't blame capitalism for this social problem. Describe what you will do to make Climate Camp's grounds/diagnostic frame more effective for recruiting new constituents and explain what type of frame alignment strategy you are using in this scenario.the "social problems process" has shaped the construction of Stockholm Syndrome and Child Abuse for decades. Stockholm Syndrome was first used to explain the behavior of hostages in a failed bank robbery in 1973 and Child Abuse was first recognized as "Battered Child Syndrome" in the 1960s. Comparing the histories of Stockholm Syndrome and Child Abuse is useful to folks like us who are learning about the construction of social problems over time. Describe what Stockholm Syndrome and Child Abuse have in common and explain why they would not be useful today to claimsmakers applying a Personal Responsibility "master frame" to the "social problem" of young rappers appearing in "adult themed" music videos.
