Assignment: Portfolio Practicum Objectives
Instruction
Portfolio Description Now that you have written your drafts, it is time to use what you have learned throughout the semester and the feedback you have received to revise and polish your work.
I. Revise all four of your Major Projects using my feedback, your classmates' feedback, and for each project.
1. Focus on content and organization changes.
2. You will not receive credit if no significant changes are made to the draft.
II. Write 4 Revision Notes for each project using the Review > Comment function in Word.
Your revision notes should point to specific areas of the project and answer the following questions:
1. What specific content or organizational change did you make?
2. Why did you make this change? (Refer back to the lectures, handouts, and feedback you received.)
3. How does the change improve the essay? Example Revision.
Note 1: I added this example of how the song in the Chipotle ad changes when the farmer decides to go back to his old methods because my original discussion was too general, and Steve said in the peer review that an example would better illustrate my claim about how the creator combines the visuals and music to create pathos here. Example Revision Note 2: This paragraph covered too much information, so I cut a lot of the repetition and made sure that all of the evidence connected back to the topic sentence. I moved the evidence that didn't fit to a new paragraph. This ensures that my point remains clear to my audience. Portfolio Organization put all of your revised projects into one document file. Add a page break between each project.
