This week, we talked about chattel leases and the application of the PPSA and registrations against personal property to secure loans for vehicle purchases, along with other goods and chattels. I came across this article following class, which is both thought provoking and interesting.

If a vehicle could repossess itself, what sort of issues could this present legally? To what extent should an auto-manufacturer be able to automate something as significant as the repossession of personal property? Would this be a breach of any rights of the consumer?
