Case Study: Your client Juan attends your counselling session. Juan works in construction and has to deal with extreme heat while working on road repairs. Juan has told you that he drinks everyday. During a typical 10-hour workday, he may drink up to 8 cold beers to deal with the heat. Juan tells you that the other workers on the jobsite also drink during the shift. Juan does not believe that he has a drinking problem and that he does not believe that drinking affects his productivity in any way. Over time, Juan has increased his alcohol use and now requires it when returning home.
