Case Study: A group of seven friends decides to go spelunking in a cave near the ocean. At low tide, they can easily access the cave; but at high tide, the cave is completely underwater. They know that they only have a limited amount of time to explore before high tide starts to roll in, so they set out early with all the necessary gear in their backpacks for a few hours of fun. They keep careful track of the time and the tide. When it is time to leave the cave, one of the friends, fat Pat, gets stuck in the mouth of the cave, blocking the exit for all. No one can get out. Pat is totally wedged in - they have tried everything to get Pat unstuck. Well, almost everything. In all the gear, they find a single stick of dynamite. If it is used, Pat will die and the rest will escape. If it is not used, everyone will drown.
