A tungsten wire (0.005mm in dia and 2 mm in length) is placed horizontal in stagnant air. If we need to maintain the wire at a temperature of 250oC, what should be the rate of electrical heating (in Watts) that should be applied to the wire so that its temperature can be maintained? Recalculate the above if there is an airflow of 10m/s perpendicular to the wire.
