Problem-

(a) We want to transport water at a rate of Q = 56.55 m3/h from point 1 to 2 with the new commercial steel pipe shown in the figure. The pressure difference between point 1 and 2 is given as P1 - P2 = 52,800 N/m2. What should be the diameter of the pipe? Assume fully-developed flow.

(b) If the pipe diameter is D = 10 cm and a pump with characteristics of H(m) = 30-400Q2(m3/s) between points 1 and 2 what will be the new flow rate Q(m3/h)? RThe pressure difference between points 1 and 2 us still 52,800 N/m2.
