After the addition of an excess of potassium iodide, the liberated iodine is titrated using 35.06mLs of sodium thiosulfate soluiton. 100.0mL of a hydrogen peroxide solution is acidified and excess potassium iodide is then added. The liberated iodine is then titrated using the standardized sodium thiosulfate soluiton, 17.31mLs being required.
