A jewelry store alarm goes off late at night. When the police arrive, they see that the store windows have been broken and that several jewelry cases have been smashed. Expensive watches have been stolen. A store surveillance camera shows a medium height, slender man wearing a navy blue hoodie committing the crime. An hour later the police spot a man fitting the description walking down a nearby street. They immediately arrest him and take him to the station. They put him an interrogation room and immediately begin to question him about why he was out so late on the street. And they asked him if he was the one who robbed the store. The man does not answer any questions. The police stop questioning him after an hour and put him a jail cell. The man remains in the cell for the next 4 days. He is given food and water, but there is no further questioning and nobody says anything about going to court.
