You arrive at the dispatch location. The victim (Jane Doe) is crying and you notice slight bruising on her left arm. She tells you that she got into a verbal argument with her boyfriend (John Doe) which turned physical. Her boyfriend took off and isn't at the residence. She has been dating her boyfriend for 1 year. They have a 2 year old son (James Doe). The victim tells you she doesn't want to talk about the incident and everything will be okay.
Additionally, she tells you this isn't the first time they had an argument and she doesn't want her boyfriend to get in trouble because he is a good person. Describe actions you would take to build rapport with the victim? Where would you conduct the interview with the victim? What resources would you provide for the victim? Most importantly, list 8 - 10 questions you would ask the victim during the interview? Explain why?
