Question: During the annual athletics competition at Tshwane High School, an argument broke out between two teachers, Mr Mokaba and Mrs Sibanyone. It transpired that Mr Mokaba publicly accused Mrs Sibanyone (a married woman in her forties) in a loud, condescending tone of voice that she used fraudulent educational qualifications to be employed as teacher at the school. Mr Mokaba further accused Mrs Sibanyone of having an affair with Mr Matlala, the principal, in order to be promoted to Head of the Science Department at the school (the position she currently holds at the school). Mr Mokaba also pushed Mrs Sibanyone to the ground, as a result of which she sustained a broken arm and soft tissue injuries to her left leg. Mr Mokaba's behaviour was unprovoked.
