Maria is the HR manager for a hotel in Dallas and she have been in that position for about 2 years. The front desk manager recently left the company unexpectedly, and as a result, Maria is tasked finding a replacement. Maria remember a close friend of hers, Tim, who was recently laid off and looking for a job, also has front desk experience. She invites Tim in for an interview and he ultimately lands the job. Since Maria knows Tim well, she didn't feel it was necessary to conduct a background check or contact references.
Everything was going great for the first couple of weeks, but in the third week, one of the female front desk workers came to you with a complaint about Tim. She said Tim offered to give her a massage on her break and was acting "creepy."
