Consider the following Pharmacokinetic/Toxicokinetic information on 3 compounds in early testing at ACME Pharma (oral administration of 50mg/kg):

These drugs are being tested for hypotensive effects. Mechanistically, this is a peripheral effect - the target is a receptor on arteries.

The pharmacology team plans to test these compounds for desired activity. The animals' baseline blood pressure is tested then they receive single oral doses of test article and then at some period post dosing blood pressure is measured again. The typical design calls for measuring blood pressure 2 hours post dose.
