Problem: During the hospital stay, M.G. was placed on a 1500 kcal low fat diet with NAS ordered by the physician. Upon discharge, the diet ordered was 1800 kcals, low fat and 2g Na. At the 1month follow-up visit through the outpatient clinic, M.G. reported no weight loss. What reason(s) might explain M.G.'s failure to lose weight during the first month following discharge?
