Scenario: Mr. Johnson, a 68-year-old male was chasing after his grandson and tripped and fell. This patient was seen by Dr. Smith 08/22/XX and was diagnosed with a sprained ankle. Dr. Smith has advised that Mr. Johnson stay off his ankle for 6 weeks and apply ice and ibuprofen p.r.n. The patient is to return in 6 weeks for a follow-up.

The patient has requested that he be given a motorized scooter so that he can get around. Dr. Smith has advised Mr. Johnson that Medicare probably wouldn't pay for that and suggested crutches or a non-motorized wheelchair instead. Mr. Smith is insisting that he be given the scooter.
