A Load having a mass of 9.2 metric tons is to be lifted by means of a contractor's derrick as shown in fig 5-10. If the Vertical plane containing the boom bisects the angle ADB, what reactions must be provided at points A and B to keep the derrick from tipping? The boom has a mass of 1.84 metric tons, and it makes an angle of 45 degree with the horizontal. ( 1 metric ton = 1000 Kg)
