Case Study: The literature review involves finding relevant publications (such as books and journal articles), critically analyzing them, and explaining what you found. A good literature review does not just summarize sources; but also analyzes, synthesizes, and provides a critical evaluation of current knowledge on the subject. A clear statement of the problem along with a concise literature review will guide your Research Question and your research study.

You probably will not be able to read absolutely everything that has been written on the topic; you will have to evaluate which sources are most relevant to your questions and find out what is already known about the problem and pinpoint the exact aspect that your research will address. Make sure the sources you use are credible, and make sure you read any landmark studies and major theories in your research.
