Ms. Brown is a new teacher in Big City High School, in southeast Texas. Having recently graduated from college, this is also her first year in the profession. She is friendly with staff members and has invited them to follow her on several social network platforms. Recently, one of her teacher friends became concerned because Ms. Brown shared a statement on social media saying that she is attracted to young high school boys. In fact, she stated that "ninth graders were the best."

Three weeks after the post in social media, Ms. Brown is confronted by the principal at her school regarding her comment about being attracted to young high school boys. He also addressed a formal complaint just filed by a parent alleging that their ninth-grade son had possession of sexually explicit nude photos of Ms. Brown. When confronted, Ms. Brown grabbed a pen and immediately wrote out a resignation. She went to her classroom, gathered her belongings, and left the building.
