Assignment:

Mr. and Mrs. Singh immigrated to Canada 25 years ago. While Mr. Singh, 88, has a comfortable working knowledge of English, Mrs. Singh, 82, has always been able to get by with her standard answer, "No English," and her husband taking over for her. Having lived and worked in a community of people from their home country, they have always depended on the support of their family and community. The children have all moved out and work all over the country. Now, with the ever-increasing list of health issues for both of them, living on their own sometimes becomes extremely stressful.

You have been assigned to help with their home care. Brainstorm how to best look after this couple and support them in their home without them feeling insecure, isolated, and lonely. What added fears could they be having? What possible health conditions could they both be suffering from at this age?
