Case Study: You might have not heard this term in pre-coronavirus times. Now, it is doubtful anyone over the age of ten could say the same. We defined the term 'pandemic' in Lecture 2. Why is the world at increased risk of pandemic now? Why can we assert that living in a pandemic world is a given, and that the issue will continue to worsen with increasing frequency of outbreaks? That increasing the focus on ethical principles will be needed to traverse pandemic times?

Watch the video: How Pandemics Spread

Provide your thoughts on if we have a pandemic-prone world.

Questions: Include the following aspects in the discussion:

  • Summarize what places the current state of the world at risk for pandemics
  • Share your thoughts on how we might proactively reduce the risks of pandemics
