Instructions
Now that you understand the basics of personality types, it is time to apply your knowledge. This assignment will allow you have a bit of fun and at the same time practice the skill of observing and assessing someone else's personality.
The first part of the assignment is to describe your own personality type (based on the results of the test you took above). Consider the following questions:
• What personality type are you?
• Do you agree or disagree with the results?
• How did you feel when taking the test?
• Is there anything about the results that surprised you?
Next, you are required to choose three of your favourite TV personalities and/or characters. Attempt to give them a classification according to the MBTI. In the end, the placement is less important than the rationale behind it and therefore you are required to justify why you placed those individuals in the particular categories. The requirements for this assignment are as follows:
• Choose three TV personalities/characters
• Classify them on each of the four possible scales
o extrovert (e) or introvert (i)
o sensing (s) or intuition (n)
o thinking (t) to feeling (f)
o judging (j) or perceiving (p)
• You are required to prepare a one-page justification as to why that individual is a particular type (or not). Remember: the placement is less important than the rationale behind it.
• Express your justification in clear, concise terms using the material presented in this module and handouts provided by Lethbridge College.
• Submit your four-page (typed, double-spaced) report for marking to your instructor.
