Case Scenario: Your client has food selectivity and will only eat certain foods. Their parents are very concerned about their child not getting enough nutrients. This has been a long-standing issue. The behaviour analyst on the case has put in a program for you to run in your sessions to increase the type of foods the child is willing to try. This program is based on behaviour analytic principles and has been shown to work in research studies. You went into the client's classroom one day to observe his mealtime behaviour and you saw the client's teacher force-feeding them. The client was clearly requesting "all done," but the teacher continued to put food in his mouth and then hold it shut. You asked the teacher what was happening, the teacher said that that the child was "being bad" and needed to eat his lunch. The teacher said the behaviour analytic program was taking too long and the child needed to just be forced. How do you proceed?
