Case: a significant project for Nietzsche is a revaluation of values. As he writes in the Preface, §6, of the Genealogy of Morality, "So let us give voice to this new demand: we need a critique of moral values, the value of these values should itself, for once, be examined...." The normative standard he seems to use in his writings to carry out this revaluation of values is that of the robust health and flourishing of the human species so that it may give rise to at least some equally robust and healthy individuals.

Now, as we have also seen, he seeks to revalue suffering, and because of suffering compassion. First, how exactly does a revalution of suffering imply a revaluation of compassion? In other words, if suffering is revalued, why must compassion be? Second, if we were to carry out Nietzsche's project still further, what other values besides suffering and compassion would need to be revalued given the revaluation of those two (suffering and compassion)? Third, give an argument concerning why you agree or disagree with Nietzsche about his project of a revaluation of values?
