Using the GROW Coaching Model, write a paper explaining how you, as a manager and leader, might use this coaching model to build and maintain relationships with your followers. Address the following two situations in which you would use this model to achieve desirable outcomes.
1) Samuel feels that he should "act his wage." This means that he will only work during his required hours and will only do what his job description says. Samuel would like to be promoted, but other employees are going above and beyond what is required in their jobs and getting promoted.
2) Rebecca is an administrative assistant for a technology firm. She receives many voicemails, emails, and text messages a day for her job. Customers and employees complain because Rebecca does not respond to all communications. If she does not know the answer or if the answer is no to a question, she does not respond.

In response to each of these scenarios, note how you would use the GROW Coaching Model to approach each employee. Then, discuss how the employees might react to your use of the model. After you have provided your responses to the scenarios, answer the following questions:

2) What benefits might this model provide for a coaching session beyond a typical manager-worker interaction?
3) How might you use the model to approach the concepts of engagement and ownership?
