Case Study: Throughout history there have been many major global events. A global event that is ongoing and getting more attention and serious, is the global climate crisis. Global warming and climate crisis affects the entire world. As we move into the future, the impact of climate change and societies response, will shape the course of humanity and our societies. As the severity of extreme weather events increase, along with rising ocean levels, loss of biodiversity, and other environmental issues occur, these things will have huge impacts on society, politics, economics, and social structures (Raftowicz 2021).
The climate crisis is connected to globalization in many ways. The environmental impacts from international trade, transportation, and industrial actions, have affected and contributed to the decline of the environment. Greenhouse gas, deforestation, pollution, and emissions happen all around the world directly relate to the cause of the climate crisis. Globalization has affected are interconnected global economy and our interdependence. Countries around the world are counting on each other for resources, business, food, and money. The concept of globalization and how we are all connected directly relates to these issue.
I do not know a whole lot of this crisis but when I think of this issue and how its interconnected all around the world, its shocking to me. I never sat down and thought about how agriculture and the climate crisis can affect people all over the world. The disruption of the global supply chains and how that affects prices for consumers and so on. Governments and people all over the world are involved, making green laws and policies to help combat these issues. I am going to study and read up on this topic and expand my knowledge as my family and I are directly
