Does this gender change make the movie different? How? What FILM ELEMENTS (story, mise-en-scene, sound, music, etc..) are the same? What elements are different?
B. MAN ON WIRE is a documentary of Phillip Petit's high-wire walk across New York's Twin Towers. THE WALK (available on the course site Media Reserves) is the Hollywood narrative version of the same event. Watch THE WALK and answer the following prompt: Between MAN ON WIRE and THE WALK, which movie did you prefer and why?
C. PITCH me your own heist movie! Tell me the plot and the story. What are you stealing and why? What obstacles stand in your way? How will you navigate and overcome these obstacles? Who's in your crew? What is at stake? What will happen if the heist fails?
After giving an overall description of your heist movie, describe in detail ONE SCENE from your heist movie. Breakdown at least Three Filmmaking Elements from this scene. (ie.. Production Design, Costume design, Lighting, Music, Editing, Acting, etc..) Be sure to indicate how your use of these filmmaking elements help tell the story, convey a mood/theme, or reveal character.
