Your client, Mrs. Wood, is 85 years old with a diagnosis of left CVA and chronic atrial fibrillation. She has been complaining of right ear pain, and has a fever of 39.0 C. Her grandson is a medical student and feels she should be on oral antibiotics.

The Doctor's orders are as follows:

Tylenol 650mg PO q4-6h PRN

Digoxin 0.25 mg PO daily x 10 days

Vitamin D 1000 IU PO daily x 10 days

Elemental Calcium 600mg PO daily x 10 days

Cipro Otic Suspension 4 gtts right ear tid x 10 days.
