In PCM the sampled value is quantized and the quantized value transmitted as a series of numbers. If, for example, there are 50 such levels, quantizing will produce a set of integers between 0 and 49. If a particular message sample has a quantized level of 22, what number string would be transmitted if the numbers are coded into binary pulse strings?
