Case: Dr. David Zorba, a retired neurosurgeon, is 72 years old and receives home physical and occupational therapy twice a week. His physical therapist is currently working with Dr. Zorba on maintaining joint flexibility and balance. His occupational therapist is working on adaptive techniques so Dr. Zorba can continue to use his hands to write, use the computer, and cook simple meals. Dr. Zorba's wife assists with his mobility and walks slowly beside him, holding his arm. Dr. Zorba also demonstrates resting tremor. Sometimes his wife helps him open his prescription bottles, so he can take his medicine, a combination of levodopa and carbidopa.
