3. The Suarez Effect case (10 points). Refer to the case on pp. 387-388 of the Daft 7th edition text and answer these questions:

- How might Doris Ann Riley deal with employee morale in light of the extremely high pay demanded by a star salesperson?
5. Connections between Made To Stick and The Leadership Experience (10 points). Refer to the book Made To Stick by Chip Heath and Dan Heath and The Leadership Experience by Richard L.
Daft and answer these questions:
- What is one instance of an example presented in Made To Stick that could support an idea or concept presented in The Leadership Experience. Explain.
- What is one instance of a case presented in The Leadership Experience that could support an idea or concept presented in Made To Stick. Explain.
6. Tips for Negotiating Your Team's Budget (20 points). Refer to the "Tips for Negotiating Your Team's Budget" discussion on p. 131 of the Finance For Managers text. The discussion starts by saying, "Effective budgeting requires a certain organizational savvy." You could also reword the sentenced to say, "Effective budgeting requires a certain leadership savvy." Then it offers six tips (bulleted items) for negotiating a budget. Pick any three of the six tips and explain how an idea from either the Daft text or the Made To Stick text would help you to succeed or become 1more effective in the budget process. Cite what the idea is, which text it came from, and how it would make you a more effective budget negotiator.
7. Do-It-Yourself NPV (20 points). Refer to the Finance For Managers text. Either find an example or create own example of a Net Present Value calculation that compares two or more potential projects (investments). Show how you can use NPV to make a decision about which one is the best investment. If you are coming up with your own example, you may model it after the examples in the book
