You are responsible for managing compliance with legal and ethical work practices within the community services organisation for which you work. Your manager has asked you to address the legal and ethical obligations which apply.

As part of your report, your manager has asked you to address the following questions/ issues:

  7. What steps can be taken to ensure that the organisation and staff members are complying with their legal and ethical obligations?
  8. What might the consequences of non-compliance be?
  9. What should the organisation do if breaches occur?
  10. What can/ should a staff member do if they think that a colleague has acted unethically?
  11. Who are some of the key regulatory bodies and what are their functions?
  12. Is the organisation required to be accredited? If so, how can this be achieved?
  13. How can the organisation make use of the continuous improvement process?
