Question: Amelia, a female applicant for an architectural design position in a firm, has just attended her second interview for the position. She is well-qualified and has previous job experience in this type of role. Near the end of the interview, the Interviewer asked about her family and she indicated that she lived with her boyfriend and that they hoped to marry within the next few years. It seemed to Amelia that the Interviewer was disapproving of her response. Amelia did not subsequently get the job. Is there a potential Human Rights violation here? If so, on what prohibited grounds? What might be the Amelia's next move if she wants to follow up on this issue?
