Our textbook, Rethink Communication (Bowdle, 2019), notes that individual church attendance numbers have decreased dramatically over the last few years. Undoubtedly, the COVID-19 pandemic (which occurred after the writing of the textbook) had an additional impact on church attendance.

Given that we see people in church less frequently than before, what messages should we prioritize in our communication efforts? How much effort do you believe your church or ministry puts into communications and marketing?
Technological increases have given churches various digital means of communicating with members. Which lanes of communication is your church using effectively? Which are they not utilizing well?
How can your church simplify its communication to compensate for shorter attention spans and countless competing messages?
