The GoodTimes Frozen Food Company has a factory in Langley, BC and sales and distribution centers in Langley, Calgary, AB and Markum, ON. For many years the company's best selling product was a line of frozen meat and vegetable pies. In recent years sales of these products have fallen. The increased cost of meat has forced the company to raise prices, and this was determined to be the one cause of the sales decline. To counteract this, a decision was made to introduce a new line of vegan friendly frozen pies.

Mr. Earth, Mr. Sky and Mr. Sea are all managers in the company. Each played a different role in introducing the new product line:

Mr. Earth, in the Langley factory, made sure production line workers understood some specific protocols related to handling vegan products.

Mr. Sea, at the Calgary office, met with his Prairie provinces sales team and reviewed the advertising program that was being launched parallel with their sales effort.

Mr. Sky, in charge of shipping nationwide, held a teleconference with the shipping managers at the distribution centres. He was concerned to make sure the reefer trucks were set to the proper temperature for the new product.
